As part of the Science curriculum at our school, we use a program called F.O.S.S. (Full Option Science System) which correlates with our Science text. This particular unit of study is on Water. The investigation for the students was to invent and create a working waterwheel based on the materials provided. By "working" it had to be able to lift objects. Of course the kids had so much fun creating their designs and constructing their waterwheels! Take a look...

- Hi, welcome to my portfolio. I am a fourth grade teacher at Linda Rankin Givens Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have obtained both my Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). My Bachelors degree is in Elementary Education and my Masters degree is in Elementary Education:Curriculum and Instruction with Emphasis on Educational Technology.
